when I lived in fairmont, mn a Mystry Man told me many names with associations our vast family connected. he didn't know exact and where or how they connected. time has told me he was correct. He was very knowledgeable. He mentioned Goose Lake of Iowa. It is good to see it's in your research. I suppose cause of my indirect connection to the Carstensen and our William Meyer [b.1873] Carstnsen and Holm were mentioned. And Carstensen was at Clinton. Yet Holm had connections to jackson county Iowa. Where my Fred meyer lived. Later after 1882 by jul 1883 he was at Highland area of Greene county. I also Know Carstensen moved to this Farnhamville area Calhoun or Greene county and were forerunners in establishment of the church there.[told by Christi Chance] My Meyer were mixed then with Michels, Riecken, [various spelling] Schenk, Wiese or Weise,Schoop.

by the way
I was looking into this area for information on Fehring. the illusive Fehrings. Some in Jackson county too. My Mystery man in Minnesota tipped me a little on those. But no proof. Haven't tied them to your Clinton area Fehrings there nor Jackson county. Only to Garrison, of Union Iowa and Hand of Montana gold mining area. Garrison all over the east with Husband surname at Ohio.

Later my William Meyer married Adelia Grote widow of Naefke. They lived iowa, mn and arkansas
