Dear Ancestry Friends,
Just wanted to announce to all, that I am "still" looking for this Marriage Certificate/Record (circa 1870 + or - about 5 yrs) for my Paternal Great Grandparents Bernat', Bernard, Bernhard Joachim & Ann, Anna, Annie (RUSKAMP) Joachim-Wilson. :-)
Thanks to a WONDERFUL Gentleman on this Ancestry.com New York City Bulletin Board site...I now have a copy of the 1895 Marriage Certificate for my paternal Grandparents Henry & Louise (JOACHIM) Knutson who married at the Trinity Church in New York City on January 30th, 1895. I was delighted to discover that I was born on the very same day that my Grandparents Henry & Louise Knutson had married.
:-) Thanks to Tony, I also have a copy of my Great Grandmother Annie's 1897 Marriage Certificate to her 2nd husband, John Wilson. "Thank You" again Tony.
I am happy that I live a bit closer to New York...well...at least on the same piece of CONUS ground. My Dear Hubby & I moved from Hawaii to the beautiful state of Washington in 2005.
Sadly, New York is still much too far away from me to travel to the New York Archives, in order to search for the NYC records that I need to fill in the missing pieces to the puzzle of my family.
I still need your help, in finding records pertaining to the JOACHIM, RUSKAMP, & MARS Surnames that are a major part of my Paternal Heritage.
If you are able to search the NYC Archives, on my behalf, please contact me. I will give you specifics on what I know about these family members...as well as...what specifically I am searching for.
Most sincerely,
Patricia Hogge in Bremerton, WA
