WILTON, Iowa - Ruth E. Jipp, 95, Wilton, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Lutheran Home, Davenport.

Memorial donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran School or the Davenport Lutheran Home in her memory.

The Rev. Joshua Reimche will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Linda Timmsen.

Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, IA.

Ruth Happel Jipp was born Nov. 10, 1911 to Rev. Peter and Adele (Franz) Happel in Wilton.

She graduated from Wilton High School in 1929.

She married Alvin L. Jipp on April 2, 1934 in Wilton. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1988.

She was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton. She was devoted to her Lord and was active in many Church organizations.

She was a past District President of the LWML. Ruth was a member of the NNC Club, the Farm Bureau Women and the Grace Noll Crowell Book Club.

She enjoyed gardening, reading and cooking.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Sylvia O'Reilly, Wilton, and Audrey and her husband Ken Albinger of Keperra, Queensland, Australia; a son, Bruce and wife Barb Jipp of Wilton; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Irene and her husband Joe Armbrecht, State Center, and Harriet Bell of Washington, Mo., and brother Rev. Dr. E.H. and his wife Betty Happel of Cary, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
