Alright Vonseal. Clearly if there was a JIGGETTS PLANTATION then there had to be WHITE JIGGETTS.

The Jiggetts Plantation In Mecklinburg was owned by David E Jiggetts. There were approximately 121 slaves.

Thanks FranJones550 for posting that. I looked this information up as well and noticed that slave owners David E. Jiggets spelled his name with only 1 T...I wonder when the family aded the additional T to their name. Very interesting and thanks. I'm gonna pass the info along to the others.

my grandmother Eunity Davis (spelled unity in the system) she was born in mecklenburg county and she is of mixed race. She came from Lucile Jiggetts ( a mixed lady) and William John (white man)
