Re: Sarah JEWKES
Hi Marion, I have a tie into the Jewkes and Plant families but no information on your Sarah.
My Jewkes, Joseph was born to his father, Joseph and Mary , formerly Plant in 1842. In the 1815 census, the family was in Queens Cross - A district of Dudley, I'm told.
No Sarah's in this family, however, a woman researching my Mary Plant for me also noted that in March of 1850, a Sarah Jewkes died. Info is from the the 1850 Death indexes.
I also found and saved info from the 1881 census of Middlesburg York, England where a Sarah An Jewkes was married to another Joseph Jewkes and among the children was a Sarah. The mother would have been born probably about 1848. They're not my line. Good luck, L.
