Hi there Jannice
I think we may have a connection with the Jewkes family although there is one or two confusions on my part.
I picked up your mothers name Shirley Dora Jewkes. Well firstly it was the Dora name that caught my eye. I have a Dora in my tree but no surname. She was married to (this is the confusing bit) to a Jack Jewkes (not John) but what was really strange was that your mothers brothers names all fit with my tree. Also, I do have a Shirley Jewkes in my tree but no middle name so not sure if it is supposed to have Dora as middle name or not.The Shirley that I have got here had parents of Jack Jewkes (or possibly John Jewkes) and mother Dora (no surname). It might be that I have got the wrong name down for your mothers father. Everything else I have fits with your info.
Ok so this is how I fit in:
If I am wrong with your grandfathers name and it is in fact supposed to be John then this means that your grandfather is the brother-in-law of my grandmother violet Jewkes.
Does any of this make any sense, sorry if I waffled a bit its all very confusing.
Regards
Amanda
