I was interested in your request about "Jewkes" in Dudley. Some of the given names re-occur in my own family tree. My great grandfather was Henry Jukes (Jewkes) the son of Joseph Jukes (Jewkes). Henry and Elizabeth Chelton were married at St. John's Parish in April, 1861. They soon after migrated to America, settling near Pittsburgh, Pa. My maternal grandfather, Robert had a sister, Phoebe.
