Mrs. W. J. Jesella Dies, Was Long Ill
Mrs. Walter J. Jesella, wife of Walter Jesella, and prominent for years in North Tonawanda Democratic an social circles, died today at Buffalo General hospital. She had been ill since last January. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Patricia; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley W. Karmolinski of Best street, Buffalo, a sister Helen and a brother Leon.
Among the many activities of which Mrs. Jesella was a part were the North Tonawanda Woman's Democratic Club, the Y. W. C. A. and the Polish Women's National Alliance. She was a former vice president of the Democratic group, a former director of the Tonawandas branch of the Red Cross, and a former director of the YWCA. She was also a member of the Bluszcz Society of the Polish Women's Alliance.
During the war she was prominent in Red Cross work, organizing nutritional units, sewing classes and other Twin Cities war activities.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 from the family home, 265 Walck road and from the O.L.C. church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet.
