Hi Paul:
I'm checking back in my notes. All films are from the Salt Lake City archives. Film 208270 references Jan 4, 1844 the marriage of Gottfried Eichel, age 24, son of Gottfried, to Anna Dor. Faeschke age 22, daughter of Fr. Given the longhand notes and the script, it would be possible to read this as an R or a J. I also have a note dated Mar 3, 1859, of the marriage of Michael Jaeschke age 38, son of Gottfried, to Anna Maria Krupp age 28, daughter of Jacob. Another reference is Dec 5, 1822 when Friedrich Faezchke age 32 married Christina Krupp age 23, daughter of Jacob. (Not likely the same Jacob Krupp.) Another reference is 1853 Friedrich Raeschke, son of Michael, married An. Justine Manns, born Kasche. Then there is Jan 26, 1853, death of Wilhelm Faeschke, age 10, son of Friedrich and Christine Krupp. Apr 8, 1844 birth of Eva Eichel whocse father is Gottfried and whose mother is Anna Faeschke (one godparent is Gottfried Faeschke).
On film 1198458 an entry Jan 9, 1848, Justine Eichel, son of Gottfried, married Anna Dor. Faeschke. Also Jan 14, 1852, Gottfried Eichel, son of Gottfried, married Anna Dor. Faeschke and one of the witnesses was Eva Faeschke.
On fim 208269, Apr 24, 1813, birth of Anna Maria Krupp, father Wilhelm and mother anna Dorothea Tchorsch, godparent is Michael Jaeschke. And to the same parents on Nov 10, 1809, birth of Eva whose godfather was Friedrich Faeschke, so you can see that if these are two different families they still were very closely related. On Mar 10, 1813 Christina Steingarth was born to father Martin and mother Barbara Jaeschke, and one godparent was Michael Jaeschke.
I have many more pages of notes, but I only noted the above names if I thought they might have some connection to some of my own relatives. I believe I saw many, many more references to those names in the films. If you review these films you will probably find many more references.
I also have reviewed several other films which may also have mention of your family names. If you cannot locate them within the references at the Salt Lake City archives let me know and I will pass them along. Good hunting. We may even be distant cousins.
David
