He's in Steeple Bumpstead in the census from 1851-1871. Born in Hempstead, Essex. He appears to be an agricultural labourer (rather than specifically a coachman). Do you have more info on him? Married Mary Seely/Seeley.
His son, John Jepps, married twice (First Elizabeth Stentiford and then Mary). Where did you find Mary's surname as being Amos? I can't see that documented anywhere - the marriage record (in Hobkirk, Roxburgh, Scotland) seems to say she is called Mary Johnstone, but I can't really find her definitively in the census anywhere. I'd like to clear up what her real name is!
I am descended from the second John Jepps' son, John Blacklee Jepps.
