"Horace Baldwin Jenkins
CONCORD -- Mr. Jenkins, 84, of 745 Carolyn Drive, died Saturday, December 24, 2005 at Five Oaks Manor. Born in Cabarrus County on May 15, 1921, he was a son of the late John Milton Jenkins and Zelma Barbee Jenkins.
Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dr. Scott Simpson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the church. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Concord. Military graveside rites will be conducted.
Mr. Jenkins was a graduate of Bethel High School. During his military career, Mr. Jenkins was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action, along with the Bronze Medal and the Purple Heart. He was a salesman for Fuller Supply Co., and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. The family meeting place with be ..., Concord.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Mullis Jenkins of the home; sons, James Farrington Morgan and Paul Lee Morgan, both of Stanfield; daughters, Marilyn Jenkins Bayless of Highlands Ranch, CO, Marsha Jenkins Magol of Tampa, FL, and Cookie Jenkins Lee of Charlotte; sisters, Helen Jenkins Goodwin of Kilgore, TX, and Olive Jeanette Jenkins of Locust, NC; brother, Glenn Jenkins of Charlotte; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by a son, Donald Richard Morgan and a brother, Bill Jenkins.
