Well, I pulled another all-nighter, going through
www.familysearch.org's IGI looking for JAUCHs, trying to understand how mine fit into all those JAUCH families back there...
Instead of taking notes on paper, I created a new family tree file for them Then I uploaded the GEDCOM (a WORK IN PROGRESS!) to worldconnect.rootsweb.com (with LOTS of caveats).
If you know the Schwenningen side of your JAUCH ancestry, please visit the GEDCOM and see if what I've entered there matches what you know. (The IGI is NOT perfect.) Please use Rootsweb's POSTE-EM feature to attach notes where:
a) you're descended from that line, and include your email if you're willing to be contacted by others researching that JAUCH branch
b) correct any errors I may have made (or the IGI may have made)
c) If you know where connections should be that I haven't reflected yet. For example, the GEDCOM consists mainly right now of a lot of disconnected branches, but I'm sure more (if not most) of them are linked. If you know where two separate branches come together, please post a POST-EM.
In the meantime, I've ordered the Schwenningen films. As I confirm the data in the GEDCOM with what's actually on the church records, I will note that in the GEDCOM and update the online version.
Ah... the URL is:
