My maternal great grandmother was Mathilda Emaline Jarvis. She married Charles Henry Pilkington in 1860. Per the 1860 Vermillion County, IL census, she would have been born abt. 1845. I think her father's name was either William or James, and he was born in Kentucky. I don't know what her mother's name is. The 1860 census mentioned above lists some Jarvis family above and below the Pilkingtons (my gr-grandmparents) and they were farmers as well. I am trying to trace Mathilda's family back as far as I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
