Hi Sherry,

I'm doing great, keep up the good researching. Yes, Polly Ann's father, William Carter, was born in North Carolina, and her mother, Anne French, in Virginia. One hope is that Anne would be buried near Elizabeth Jaycox/Jaquash, her daughter-in-law, and/or William Jaycox/Jaquash. They all lived in the same area and died around the same time. Can only hope to think family is buried with family. Try finding a Civil War burial record on William, might help.

My most recent attempt at the library to search Jaycox led me to a bunch of Loyalist/Tories during the Revolution, the Heavin or Haven family that married into the Carters. I knew it but didn't think they would be considered the leaders of the local group in Botetourt, VA.
