Looking to contact other Jamieson/Jamison researchers with ancestors in the Frontenac County area in the 1880s'.

Searching for more information/connections of the family of Isaac Jamieson (though Canadian 1881 Census has name spelled as JAMSION). Wife was Martha Ann Aykroyd. Known children: Celia, Albert, George, Clara and Elsworth Hamilton (my GGF)

According to 1881 Can. Census Issac was an enginer living in Kingston, Ontario. He is listed of Irish Orgin but born in the USA. The 1930 Connecticut Census for Elsworth has him listing his father of being from NY, and from family lore we think possibly he was born around Long Island, NY circa 1835.

Trying to piece together our family history. Elsworth always said he was orphaned by the time he was 12 and that he was sent to live with an "Aunt Lois" but then ran away because she was going to put him in an orpahage. He ended up in Litchfield County, CT, and never spoke of his family to my grandmother or her siblings.
