Thanks, thanks for this info, I'll definitely check it out. I thought perhaps the Jaques/Jacques/Jakes were French Canadian?, but I have no proof. I also found a Jakes in New England (Salisbury/Amesbury MA) but not the right line. Thanks so very much. I'll look into RI and NY. Are you related to this family?
