Thanks, thanks for this info, I'll definitely check it out. I thought perhaps the Jaques/Jacques/Jakes were French Canadian?, but I have no proof. I also found a Jakes in New England (Salisbury/Amesbury MA) but not the right line. Thanks so very much. I'll look into RI and NY. Are you related to this family? I have the children of Varnum Jaques and Julia Ann Case as: Varnum, Caleb, Harvey Leander, Henry, John Porter, Levi Jason "Jason", Charley Esau, Franklin Theodore, Adeline and Cordelia.

I have the children of Varnum Jaques and Susannah Burleson as Susanna, Harriett, James, Sarah, William, Isaac and Mary Theodocia.

Caleb Jaques married Amanda Holtsberry and had a daughter named Martha.

Many of the Julia Case/Varnum Jaques line of Jaques went to Camanche, Clinton County, Iowa and then to Sagauche (sp?), Colorado.

Thanks for your reply. Do you have birthdates/places for the children of Varnum & Susanna Burleson and any information on Varnum/Susanna's ancestors? Since last posting to this board I have found Varnum was from Michnook Pond, Rhode Island, with his father being William and his father Amos; and Susanna from Canajoharie, New York, with her father being James. I believe my Sarah Jacques' DOB is 7 oct 1819 in Ohio or New York? Please let me know, Alissa
