My G-Grandfather was born in 3 different locations according to the census. 1881 census shows he was born abroad, Nat Br Subject calculated birth 1849. The 1891 census does not list him, his wife or 4 out of 9 of his children. The 1901 shows Julius being born in Canada calculated birth 1853 with 5 children and no wife. The 1911 census shows Julius being born Westminster calculated birth 1850 and living with one son. Julius died May 19th 1927 at New Cross, Lewisham, Surrey.
The 1891 census does show a Ludwig Jacobi, the same trade as Julius living with his wife and 4 children whose names are identical to the children missing from my family in this census. Although all 10 children have now passed on, family stories say Julius was fostered and he took on their surname of Jacoby. According to Julius marriage certificate his father's name is Charlie but no connections have been made. Julius must have surely had siblings. Unknown at this time. Any assistance greatly appreciated.
