Surnames: Chabot, Jabot, Jabaut, Terry, Kenyon, Bebo
Emilie (Jabot) Tardif/Terryappears in the 1880 census for Schuyler Falls, New York with her husband Joseph Terry.

In the 1900 census for Charlotte, Vermont, Joseph Terry is coded as single, which seems odd (versus widowed or divorced, which were options in that census). The only other person in his household is Louise Bebo, coded as being a servant, divorced and having two living children (who are not in the household).

In the 1905 New York census, Louise is his Joseph's wife. Joseph, Louise, their child together and her two children from her previous marriage form the household.

What happened to Emelie? Did she die between the 1880 census and the 1900 census? Did she and Joseph divorce? Might Joseph have committed bigamy?

Her daughter Almira/Elmira (Terry) Kenyon's Vermont death record notes her mother's name as Emilia Jabot.

Does anyone know who her parents were and when, where and how she died and/or if Joseph's single status was because of her death?
