Genevieve E. (Palucki) Izbicki, 104 years of age, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Millcreek Manor.
Born in Erie,County,pa,
on May 12, 1907,
she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Laskowski) Palucki,
and attributed her longevity to God.

An unsurpassed seamstress, she sewed anything requiring a needle and thread, with or without a pattern. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics, wicker work, and leather crafts, and shared her talents at the Mercy Center. She also appreciated the arts, especially music and artwork, and marveled at all the new electronic advances and methods of travel and learning. Bingo was her game, and she enjoyed reading.
Her written memories, titled "Those Were the Days", although never published, were read by many.
Her husband, Stanley J. Izbicki, whom she married October 12, 1926, preceded her in death in 1978,
along with three sisters, Nell Kline, Irene Lennox and Wanda Schultz,
a brother, Leo Palucki,
two granddaughters, Paula J. Bowen .
and Lori Izbicki,
and a daughter-in-law, Gertrude Izbicki.
