I am helping an Izatt family I met in Edinburgh, Scotland with their genealogy. They have become family to us and we communicate almost on a daily basis. They are delightful, fun and amazing family. It is through this line you are definitely related. Duncan Boag Izatt who is now living in Edinburgh is your relative! John Izatt (on his death certificate it states he was a general labourer, married and died at 75 years old. His parents were James Izatt who was a salt maker and Catherine Izatt m/s Stirling. Their children were Catherine 28 May 1809, Ann 27 Sept 1813, John 30 Nov 1815, William Currie,7 Jul 1818, Janet Dawson 27 Jul 1821, Alex. Barclay 25 May 1823, David Currie 25 May 1823-twins) & Janet Braid are his 3rd great grandparents through their son James who was married to Maria Lymer/Limer. They had a son John who was married to Janet Weir Boag. Duncan's grandparents are Samuel Boag Izatt and Agnes Kennedy. His parents are Duncan Boag Izatt and Emily Clark Mulligan they are both deceased.

I am the son of John Izatt Clark, who is the son of John Izatt Clark--who it seems had a father of the same name. My grandfather and great grandfather came to the US to southern Illinois in 1921 from coal mine areas south of Glasgow. Aside from the manifests I was able to find from Ellis Island.org, I have one photo of my great grand father sitting on a porch smoking a pipe with a glass of whiskey in his hand. If there are any indications of a line of John Izatt Clarks coming from the John Izatt line you are working, please let me know. He came to the states to mine coal, but was also reportedly a wood worker. Lanarkshire (north and south) are where the childrens brith towns were. Douglas, Douglas West, Kirkonnel, Auchinlech areas.
