I am looking for any information about mary j. (allen) izar who is a step-sister to my great-grandmother, emma e. allen. The only information that I have available tells me that mary j. allen was married to a william izar and lived in denver, colorado. She was born sometime between 1846 and 1850. From that, I can only infer that she married william izar sometime, possibly, between 1865 abd 1870. If you have any information that you think might be associated with either of these individual's thank you, in advance, for sharing it!

Nancy,
Thank you a million! (: It is her! I will very much enjoy looking into the citation that you have shared with me. Mary J. (Molly) is an older, half-sister to my great-grandmother, Emma E. Allen and the individual responsible for getting Emma into newspaper reporting and, later, into owning and operating the first newspaper in Kalona, IA where her and Molly,'s father and his second wife raised my great-grandmother and her other three sibs.

Do you mind my asking how you know about the citation that you've shared with me? Thank you, again! -Laura Dunlap
