Hi, Michael Edward Iwanicki, 58 in Arlington, Tx born in Milwaukee, Wisc, moved to Chicago grew up in Des Moines Iowa spent most of my adult live in Texas, 35 years police officer, Father John Frank Iwanicki, Sr. (Same as Grandfrather) came to the us thru ellis not sure of year have some infor that he may have made entry thru canada tho, as to why he settled in Milwaukee,

My son-in-law's(born in Memphis, Scotland county Missouri in 1962) mother is Bernice Iwanicki, married to Vern Regnold. Her father was John Iwanicki, born in WI 1912 and died in Des Moines IA in 1970. He was married to Vallie Paris 1923-1987. Her Grandfather is John Iwanicki, born in 1886 in Poland, married to "Mary" born abt. 1895 in Poland. Bernice lives in Denton Co. TX. I'm guessing that you are related. I am researching his family tree for him. Nina

BOARDMAN, OH – Walter J. Evans, 92, passed away Sunday morning, April 10, 2011.

Walter was born May 4, 1918, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a son of John and Blanche Iwanicki.

Walter spent much of his life as a carpenter and then as a building inspector for the State of Ohio. He was a fixture behind the bar at the Colonial House on Market Street in its hey day. He was most proud of serving John F. Kennedy a drink during his campaign stop.

An active member of St. Charles Church , he enjoyed working the summer festivals at the church. He enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City, visiting area in-laws, bowling and playing cards with his wife, the former Lucille A. McKeown, whom he married Nov. 29, 1952 , and she passed away Aug. 9, 1991.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Bonnie (James) Mealy of New Middletown, Ohio; a son, Bruce (Jan) Evans of Madison, Miss.; and two grandsons, Michael Mealy of New Middletown and David Mealy of Medina, Ohio.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Frank Iwanicki; and a sister, Stella Iwanicki.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Shawn Conoboy at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Church

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Church.
Internment will be at Calvary Cemetery next to his beloved wife.


Arrangements are by the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, Ohio
