YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mrs. Georgia A. Denson, 63, who departed this life Friday, May 29, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Health Center. (Mahoning County)
Mrs. Denson, affectionately known as “Lizzie,” was born May 2, 1952, in Earle, Arkansas, a daughter of Joe C. Sr. and Georgia E. Patton Ivory.
She was a 1971 graduate of East High School, received her Associate’s Degree from ITT Technical Institute for Computer Technology, and received her B.A. Degree in Social Services from Youngstown State University.
She had been employed with the Farrell School System, and the Mohican Correctional System in Mansfield, Ohio as a social worker.
She was a member of the Abundant Harvest Ministries in Austintown.
She enjoyed arts, music, baking, and especially, being with her family.
She leaves to forever cherish her memory, her mother, Georgia Ella Ivory of Youngstown, OH; three brothers, Joe C. Ivory Jr. and Brian K. Ivory Sr., both of Youngstown, and Grover L. Ivory of Liberty; two sisters, Sandra J. Mays and Terrie J. (Morris) Posey, both of Youngstown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Dustin Manigault; two sisters, Curlie Grier and LaVerne Martin; nephews Robert Ivory and Josiah Gregory; and a niece, Tracie Ivory.
