Hi Davide
I haven't found any subscriptions at all. You will have to look at public records. I wish I could be more help. Good luck. You might want to try Catholic Church records, too.
Good Luck. Let me know what you find out.

According to birth record of my grandfather from the Anagraffe #8 (Genova-Nervi), it says Sebastian Ernesto Ivaldi and Diana Lenzini were married at church San Martino d'Albaro on 3 May 1930.
But it looks like San Martino's records aren't listed for that recent a date? Must I write the parish?

I would think you would have to write the parish that is the only way you are going to get the record.
Let me know what you find out.
Good Luck and keep me posted.

Hello Joy,
Well, since last year I've been digging deeper, here's what I can tell you...My line started in Toleto, Ponzone. There was some migration to Cannes and Marseille, and then ultimately to Genova, main city center, Quarto al Mare and Nervi.
Ricaldone and Toleto are both about 10 miles away ( in opposite directions ) from the diocese HQ in Acqui Terme. The diocese answered my email and gave me a very nice set of scans of my ancestors that I knew of so far.
Essentially, my Andrea Ivaldi ancestor was born in 1825 and married Maria Zunino of Piancastagna

Hi, when I saw the name Piancastagna, it rang a bell because my grandfather was born there and I am trying to get some details about him and his brother, David Ivaldi, when immigrated to Argentina end of 19th century probably. My mother went to spend one year in Buenos Aires with her uncle and his 10 children, and wife I suppose. My grandfather's was Giuseppe, he came to Nice with his wife, born in Ponzone (Alessandria) under the name of Ontario. I suppose Giuseppe was born around 1875, not really sure of the year. Do you think the Diocese of Acqui Terme will give me some details about the family, or perhaps Alessandria? Maybe we are related, who knows, so far?
