YOUNGSTOWN – Harry R. Italiano, 78, passed away on July 15, 2010.

Harry will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends.

He was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Vincent J. and Mary (Palone) Italiano, and was a lifelong area resident.

Harry was a 1950 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and retired after 25 years of service on the assembly line at General Motors Lordstown, Ohio Plant.

He loved music and played the saxophone, clarinet, and flutophone in several bands throughout the area. He played with the Jimmy Dorsey Band, Tex Benniki Band, Lou Pastor Band and his own band, the Harry Rico Band.

Harry was a member of St. Dominic Church, the Musicians Local, and the U.A.W. Local No. 1112.

He enjoyed photography and woodworking in his own shop.

He leaves behind to hold onto his memories, his two brothers, Louis (Norma) Italiano of North Jackson, Ohio and John (JoAnn) Italiano of California, and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Joseph Italiano.

There were private services held on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, Ohio

Entombment took place at Calvary Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
