Dear Terry:

You may be more helpful to me than I would be to you.

Here what I know of my husband's side, "Italiano".

His grandfather came to the US through New Orleans. I understood that there were three brothers, one being my husband's grandfather, named Colgerio.Italiano. I was trying to find the ship that came in NO from Italy. Their family originates from Polermo, Italy.

According to the New York Census Bureau of 1930, Colgerio Italiano was married to Mararet, Their children were: Louise, Catherine, Jessie, Rosa, Matilda, Matthew and Agustus. They lived in City Island, New York City. I don't know how or when Colgerio moved into New York. He immigrated to the US in 1888

Margaret (Colgerio's wife) or Margretta's maiden name was Lagatutta.

If you have any information that maybe helpful, let me know. Particularly the ship that they may have sailed.

Best regards,

Donna
