GIRARD - Ida A. McFalls, 86, passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 11, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) .
Ida was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Girard, Ohio a daughter of the late John and Theresa Natale Isoldi, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. McFalls was a 1946 graduate of Girard High School, and worked for 25 years as the cook at Girard City Schools, retiring in 2008.
Ida was a member of St. Rose Church. She enjoyed yard work, playing cards with her friends, and she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. McFalls leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, James (Debbie) McFalls of Austintown and William McFalls of Bristolville; a daughter, Margaret (Pat) Byrne of Girard; eight grandchildren, Lee, Jamie, Tara, Joey, Nicole, Jimmy, Patrick, and Jay; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Elyse, and Sophia; a brother, Patrick Isoldi of Niles; and a niece, Theresa LaGamba of Canfield.
Her husband, James W. McFalls, whom she married Jan. 20, 1951, passed away Nov. 16, 2008.
A daughter, Florence “Pinky” Evans; two brothers, Tony Isoldi and Nicholas Isoldi; three sisters, Rose Rozzo, Mary Roberts, and Gertrude Biasucci; and a niece, Concetta Pecchia, are also deceased.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, at Kinnick Funeral Home, McClurkin Memorial Chapel, 222 S. State St., Girard.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Girard City Cemetery, (Trumbull County) where Ida will be laid to rest next to her husband.
Ida’s family extends very special thanks to Kevin and Nancy Brown, for their close friendship to Ida over the years.
