Jacqueline "Jackie" Marie Wilder-Isitt, born Feb. 8, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio, was a resident of Barstow for over 46 years and of Show Low, Arizona, for over 10 years when she passed into eternal peace and harmony in Barstow on April 28, 2003. Jackie lived a full life that included losing two husbands (John J. O'Connor in 1944 and Charles F. C. Wilder in 1965) a son (Larry G. Wilder, 1996), and two grandchildren to early deaths. She is survived by her husband, soul mate, and best friend of 38 years Kirk L. Isitt and four sons, John J. Wilder of Nevada, Michael C. Wilder of Barstow, Tony G. Wilder of Idaho, and Wayne W. Wilder of Arizona; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Jackie enjoyed life immensely, with activities including traveling in her motorhome, square dancing, and making friends with people from all walks of life. She was an active member of the Barstow Hospital Auxiliary from 1966 until her death. She also participated with her husband Kirk in many of his organizations, particularly the Rotary Club of Barstow where she was the First Lady of the District Governor for District 530 from 1981 to 1982, and became a Paul Harris Fellow. A service celebrating Jackie's life will be held at the Barstow Elk's Lodge No. 1920, 1501 West Main Street, Barstow on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 11 a.m. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend and to share their memories of Jackie's life and experiences. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackie's name to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3160 Geneva Street, Los Angeles, California 90020.
