I recently came across the website about Tree Studio in Chicago, and I read your entry about the studio and your aunt and uncle: Will & Diane Duvigneaud. The Durvigneauds were friends of my father and mother. I think my Dad met will when Will worked briefly for Pitney-Bowes. Believing that this message may get to you before you ever return to the Tree Studio Website, I thought that I would repeat my entry here.
The memories of Cynthia Isbell Krynock are almost the same as mine. My father and mother, Otto & Isabel Paolini, were friends of the Duvigneauds and John Brcin. It was such an exotic place compared to my home in the suburbs. I loved climbing the ladder to the loft and look down to the floor below. I remember playing the courtyard, only to slip into the fountain pool. The best part was listening to the conversations of these people who talked about art--a different world. I thought of Will Duvigneaud as a friend though I was a small child, for he gave me my first book: Winnie the Pooh. And he read to me when he visited our home. A world that made my life richer.
