Sorry, Cotney--I can't help you. I have now been able to trace my husbands family back through Canada into France in the last 1400's--the family settled in Michigan; none of them came south.

Hello Rita. It was nice to hear from you and I look forward to your continuing correspondence regarding Isabells. My paternal grandmother, Josephine C. Isabell, was the daughter of Theodore Isabell and Celia LaDuke, from Berlin, Monroe, Michigan. My grandmother, Josephine, was widowed at 18 from William Stafford (my dad about 2 at the time) and she remarried to Gilbert Dewees...family from Iowa. Her sister's name was Edna Isabell. Josephine was a hard worker and the Head Housekeeper at St. John's Hospital on the east side of Detroit. She died from a heart attack at work in 1964. Let me know what information you are interested in and I, too, will share all that I have. Thanks again for your note.
Sincerely,
Maureen Little

Maureen--thank you so much for your family information; I will update Theodore's family. I continue to search for death dates of Jean/John Bapt. Isabell and Zoe Loreque. They were the parents of Theodore--I believe he died before 1900 because Zoe was living with Theodore in the 1900 census--they are found under the surname Eisabell--smile smile. I have also found 10 of their 11 children, but continue to search for child #11 who had to have died before 1900; may have been a girl.

I have the Isabell genealogy back to 1499 in France--a genealogist in Canada did the work for me; (it is from the Drouin papers) and have formatted it into Microsoft word so that it was easier for my family to share. If you would like it, I can email it--it is 133 pages. Let me know.

Hello again! Thanks for your response. Were you able to find Josephine Isabell's picture on my tree? It shows her at 18 or so with William Stafford and son William John (Jack).....YES, please send what you have to my email. I would love to look at it and share with my 2 sisters who are very interested in family history as well. Thank you in advance and let me know if I can assist you with anything further. Have a good week and happy "hunting"!

I love the pictures!! So happy to connect with you!

I did try to attach the Isabell Lineage, but it wouldn't attach since it isn't GEDCOM--send me your email to timisabell@gmail.com and I will send it directly.
