I noticed an earlier post about Toivo Jurva but I think your address has changed. I have some info on a Toivo and Pekka. There was another brother ,but I don't remember his name. Another relative, Onni Jurva (Yerva) was a master organ builder in Berlin

It sounds like we are talking about the same family. Toivo Jurva had a brother Pekka (name changed to Peter Jones in Canada) this was my ggrandfather. Another brother was Onne, he was a chiropractor in MN. The brother that was a master organ builder was Albanus. Are you related? Would love to share information.

You are right. I got all my info from Rita (Sands) Voss . Her cousin, Arvo Saari ,is our good friend and neighbor. Arvo's mother was a Husa and related to the Jurvas so Rita e-mailed me some pics for him including one of the Jurva family. That name caught my interest so I had a look on the Jurva board and spotted your post. Are you in touch with Rita?

I found Aili, Grace and Robert Isaacson (Isackson) in the 1930 census. they were living with the family of George Carlson in Duluth, MN. It states that Aili was married but no mention of her husbands name. It has been very difficult to locate any information on them. I will keep an eye out for your Isaacson names and let you know if I come across anything.

Hi Ann:

The 1930 census lists George C. Carlson, age 30, wife Elsa, age 28, son George, age 3, and son Richard, age 2. George and Elsa were both born in Sweden and their sons were born in Minnesota. Hope this helps..Lori
