I know very little about my family history. If anyone can provide me any information that would be great. I'm 41 and live in California but all my family is in Texas. My father is John Alfred Isaacks, born in Bevil Texas around 1938/39. My mother is Joan Margeret Isaacks. She was born Joan Whitcom (not real sure of spelling). However when she married my father her last name was already Isaacks as her mother had remairied to my father's dad's brother! She was born around 1942. I have four brothers and two sisters. Darla, Darryl, Daniel, Dennis, Dana and Daylon. All of my brothers live in Midlan Texas. We grew up in the Houston area. My father's brothers were Jimmy Loyd, Ellis Lee, Lynard Ray (not sure on any of the spellings). I believe my father's Dad was Lynard Isaacks. Does any one know me or my family? Thanks so much, I look forward to hearing from you. Dave

You may be able to obtain info. from Regal 1020. This is my sister, who is a lots smarter on the genealogy of the Isaacks. She has been researching them for several years. I do remember reading about the Isaacks in Beesville (sp?) She is working and has grandchildren that live next door. My grandfather was John S. Isaack. He was born in 1975 in St. Clair co. Al. Our family now has 5 living generations. My mom is John's Daughter. She is 80 yrs. I am 60 born in 1939. I hope you can find some information. If I see anything on my journey thru the Isaacks,I keep you in mind. Good Luck

Hi,
I too, have requested the book, but haven't received any replies.
Don't get discouraged. If you notice, no one has posted in the "Book" thread for 10 years and no one has posted in this one since 2001.
However, there may be automatic emails to some of these folks, so hang in there.
If you look for additional posts regarding the names you are looking for, and can find some recent, you may get results that way also. :o)
Good luck.

A copy of the book can be found here: http://www.ancestralvoyages.com/ISAACKSc.htmlIt's on my website, which also has a lot of other information on the Isaacks family. The book was sent to me by Gary D. Isaacks who also updated the book a few years ago.
