“DEPARTED this life on the 11th inst. Capt. NATHANIEL IRISH, in the 79th year of his age. He was one of the patriots who assisted in atchieving [sic] our independence. He possessed a heart always open to the calls of humanity, and was emphatically the honest poor man’s friend. He has long been a resident of this city. “
