The removals were not done in an affluenent season for the economy and the TVA 's interventions was supposed to help a steady economy without the steady flooding and stuff, I think. Its pretty common, A new grave you want a stone, but if for some reason, you just can't eventually for many people, life takes over and there are always prioritys.
These graves were moved so that they wouldn't be destroyed or sitting at the bottom of the lake. The TVA moved the graves, but how many graves and how much money and which ones do you do first, and very likely they may not have been real sure just how they were related after these years.
They are at the Loyston Cemetery, they are just on the ridge above in what was unused ground. It just looks like there is nothing there because there are no markers, and I am not sure that after the passing of time that they have the records of where people are at. I don't remember place mmarkers or section markers at all. But that was several years ago that we were there. You know, life happens.
