Erik Lee Renner, 38, of Claysville, died unexpectedly at 8:29 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, in his home.
He was born July 27, 1973, in Washington, son of John Delbert Renner Jr. of Washington and Debra Louise Hardway Thomas of Claysville.
Mr. Renner had resided in West Alexander, prior to moving to Claysville in 1997.
He enjoyed time with his son, the outdoors, reminiscing around a bonfire, playing pool, all Pittsburgh sports teams, country living and all animals and was an avid practical joker.
Mr. Renner was a 1991 graduate of McGuffey High School.
He was last employed as a drywall finisher for more than 10 years with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local 2000.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are son Erik A. Renner, whom he treasured, and his mother, Renae Biers Renner of West Alexander; siblings Christie and husband Jamie Dorsey of Claysville, Bo Thomas and fiance Christine Grimes of West Alexander, Heidi Thomas and companion David Speicher of Claysville, Joshua and wife Nichole Renner of Washington and Sherrie and husband Michael Hemelrick of Washington; three nieces, Hali Thomas, Lily Speicher and Autumn Hemelrick; nephew Trent Dorsey; maternal grandmother Alice Irey Hardway of Claysville; and paternal grandmother Dorothy Balser Renner of Townville, S.C.
Deceased are nephew Derek Dorsey; stepmother Debora Sue Kennedy Renner; maternal grandfather Paul Hardway Sr.; paternal grandfather John D. Renner Sr.;and uncle Rick Hardway.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., the time of services, Wednesday, June 27, in Claysville United Methodist Church, with family friend Bruce Lindley officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to a memorial fund to be established in the name of Erik A. Renner, via your local branch of Community Bank. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville.

Retired coal miner enjoyed farming
Kenneth B. Frazee, 88, of Washington, died Friday, July 6, 2012, in Washington Hospital.
He was born at home in Amwell Township July 6, 1924, son of Newell and Marie Sutton Frazee.
Mr. Frazee attended Lone Pine schools.
He worked on the road crew for Amwell Township, as well as as a coal miner for Mine 58, where he worked most of his life until retirement.
Mr. Frazee was a member of United Mine Workers of America and a life member of the Annawanna club and the National Pike Steam, Gas and Horse Association. He enjoyed farming and was a gas engine buff.
On April 23, 1948, he married Margaret Marie Irey, who died June 5, 2007.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth (Susan) Frazee, Gary (Wilma) Frazee and Rick (Debbie) Frazee; a daughter, Linda (David) Sienkiel; two brothers, Demas “Sam” Frazee and Andrew Frazee; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his wife of 59 years, are his parents; two brothers, Reynold and James “Ronnie” Frazee; two sisters, Elizabeth Hudack and Grace Crawford; and a grandson, Chad Michael Frazee.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, with Pastor Dave Decker officiating.

Margaret M. Irey Frazee, 77, of Amwell Township, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in her home.
She was born August 14, 1929, in Amity, a daughter of William and Jennie Muhleman Irey.
A lifelong resident of Amwell Township, Mrs. Frazee was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a former member of Read's Run Homemakers and Lone Pine Volunteer Fire Department auxiliary.
On April 23, 1948, she married Kenneth B. Frazee, who survives.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth (Susan) of Charleroi and Gary (Wilma) and Rick (Debbie) Frazee of Washington; a daughter, Linda (David) Sienkiel of Washington; a brother, Raymond "Patsy" and wife Marie of Amity; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m., the hour of services, Thursday, June 7, in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, with the Rev. Don DeWeese officiating.
