I hear the Ipock's came from Wales?
I married into the Ipock family in Southwest Missouri area. I am getting ready to do a family tree and research the Ipock family. Has anyone already started one that has ties to Seymour/Mansfield Missouri area?

Can you provide the names of your earliest Ipock ancestors? Researchers can then see if those early names appear in their databases. I have been working on our family tree for approximately ten years. It is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

Re: I hear the Ipock's came from Wales?
My father was Clifford Taft Ipock, born May 1910, in the Seymour area. His father was George Ipock, his mother's name was Amanda. My brothers live in Mountain Grove; 2 of my sisters also live in Mountain Grove.
I don't know the origin of the Ipocks. I heard they were from Ireland, but I don't know that. I would like to know more.

The Ipock family came from Germany in 1710 and settled in New Bern,NC. The spelling of the name was Eibach. I am an Ipock by birth..all my family live in NC or close by (maybe SC or GA.). I would love to correspond with you.......Sue Ipock Frye......Greensboro,NC. my dad and brother both are George Ipock.

Re: I hear the Ipock's came from Wales?
Thank you for responding. It's good to know where the name started. When I was young and my grandparents were alive, I never thought to ask. Now I wish I had. I'm sure they had wonderful stories to tell about the family.
I was born an Ipock in Mountain Grove, MO, and moved to California when I was 6. I've lived near San Francisco since then. I still go home - or try to - every year. It's like being at a family reunion. I'm related to more people than I ever thought possible. My mother is a Stillwell, and they settled in the area in the early 1800s. I don't know when the Ipock family arrived, but I'm sure it was about the same time.
I don't know how ancestry.com works, but I have a family tree there that goes back several generations. If you can access it, that might be interesting too. My ancestry starts with me - I think it' Judith Ipock Stillwell - and both sides of the family are there.
Thanks for extending my Ipock family even more.

Re: I hear the Ipock's came from Wales?
I remember an Ipock family that lived just up the road from Charlie and Clella (Rush) Morris in Seymour, Missouri. There was a son (called Junior, I think)just older than me (I was born in Wright Co.Mo, Christmas Day, 1946). His father was called Judge Ipock, if memory serves, but I am not sure if a title or name. Junior Ipock was the youngest (I think!), I believe his siblings were several years older than he.
