It is my hope to create a master database of Iocco's emigrating from Italy to the US for the purpose of linking common ancestry to Italy.

I have submitted a DNA sample to http://www.FamilyTreeDNA.com under the project name Iocco. I will also add a DNA project to Ancestry.com in the hopes it will help us identify and preserve Iocco family heritage.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Bob Iocco

Hi Bob

I have tried to contact you but with little success - It would seem our YDNA is possibly linked to a common ancestor circa 700 years ago - I have been tracing my ancestry here in England for about 20 years now and conducting a partial one name study on my Ballard name - I would like to be in touch with you so we can work together to discover why we connect - I have been researching the family of Italian Merchants who were in England as citizens circa 1300 the Ballarde - Ballerdi - Bellardi Society Merchant Bankers to the Plantagenet Family etc. As names were Patrilinial during this early period it would not be impossible that we came from the same male Y progenitor around that time I have been looking into your surname for possible connection and if you contact me I will gladly share what I have found so far - Hope to speak with you at your convenience Adrian Ballard of England. ballardgen(at)hotmail.com OR https://www.facebook.com/groups/SocietyBellardi/
