Hi cousin. This info was assembled by my dad a few years ago, My grandfather, Robert Eugene Enscoe, was born in November 1896 in Beckwith, Cal. to Joseph Robert Enscoe and Jennie Parish. Robert Enscoe fathered my dad, Gerald Eugene, in Orofinos Idaho in 1926. Joseph Enscoe was an engraver who emmigrated to New York in the 1850s and moved to Downieville Cal. in 1858. He briefly worked as a miner and later opened stores in Downieville anda Sierraville. In 1867 he bought a 160-acre ranch near Loyalton and later opened another store in Loyalton. He died in 1894. In 1861 he married Lenora Thompson of Capetown, who had made several trips to California before settling there. The couple had eight children of whom only one, Joseph Robert, survived. Lenora died in 1888. Joseph Enscoe had three children with Jennie Parrish, Leonora May. RObert Eugene and Lucy. Leonora married Leo Millett and had a son, Gordon Millet, who I guess you are related to. That's all I have from that line of the family. SO what happened with the Milletts? Keep in touch if you have any interesting family tidbits.
