Surnames: Inscoe/Inscho, Pickle
I am a descendant of Rachel Inscho/Inscoe born 1752, who married Nicholas Pickle of Alexandra Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, and they moved to New Brunswick during the Revolution. She was reputed to be the daughter of Joseph Inscoe, born c. 1730, and possibly Margaret. Their children were said to be, along with Rachel, Joseph, b. 1750, Samuel, b. 1757,and Obadiah b. 1758, who also moved to New Brunswick with the Pickle group. It has been suggested that Jonathan, b. 1763, and James, and David, b. 1754, also belonged to this family. Family sources suggested that they were of Dutch origin, although the Pickles were of German origin. I do not have real proof of any of these facts, but it might give a starting point for further research!
