LOOKING FOR HUSBAND'S FAMILY LINE (INMAN)
His great grandfather was William (Capt. Bill) Inman. He had two sons..John, married to Elizabeth (lizzie) Gentry in 1900. They had two children, Clone and Lorrane. His son clone had 4 sons, Richard, James (my husband) twins John and Joe. Capt. Bill gave his son John and his wife Lizzie a farm in Grand Prairie, Texas. John fell ill with T.B. and he and Lizzie moved back to live with relatives. Capt William came to this country from France. He was the owner of a packet of steamships that ran the rivers from St. Louis, Missouri to New Orleans making riverside stops to set up river stores selling imported and American goods. Capt. William had 4 children. John the one above was his only son. John died in 1915, Capt. William had ships named after his family members. Hope and Elizabeth were daughters. John and Catherine were twins. Catherine married Jim Kizer of the St. Louis area. He was a railroad engineer. Children are, Charles living now in Crystal City, Mo. and Joe retired to Bland, Mo. Elizabeth married Oke Lane of Dierks, Ark. Children, Cecil, Opal, Fred, Roy and others. Hope married Robert Eskridge, a farmer in Randolph county. Whe was killed very young when her horse threw her. One child Robert. Gov. Westmoreland Davis of Leesburg, Va. was owner of Morven Park (a mansion) he married one of the Inman family that was co-owner of the Titanic along with the White Lines (Capt. William's Inman's family) If you have any info. I would appreciate it.
