That IS quite a story! I do have an Albert Hostetler Ing in my family tree, but the details don't quite match, and I've never seen a Michigan connection. But here goes: He was born in 1879 in Sacramento, California, where he lived most of his life. He was a switchman for the railroad in Sacramento, and later worked with his brother Robert in a vineyard, later he's listed as a farmer, and lived in the San Joaquin and Lodi. He was quite the world traveler...I have found records related to his travels to New York, Australia and Hawaii. He died in 1940. He was my GGG Grandfather's nephew, the son of John Cruse Ing.
