Infantino, Bertha Astorino (Bert)
Bertha (Bert) Astorino Infantino Bertha “Bert” Astorino Infantino, age 82, of Wesleyville, died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center.
She was born in Walston, Pa. on November 7, 1925,
daughter of the late Guy and Marguerite Palmerino Astorino. She had resided in Erie since 1952.
Bertha was a member of St. James R.C. Church. She was employed with the former Loblaw’s grocery store at Peach &Cherry Sts. for 12 years until 1972. She was a social member of American Legion Carl Neff Post 571. Bert especially enjoyed spending time with and caring for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Angelo (Ange) Infantino;
two sons, James Infantino (Diana) of Harborcreek Twp.
and Jerald Infantino (Sally) of Millcreek Twp.;
one sister, Margie Stevens of Canadohta Lake;
three grandchildren, Jacqueline Palotas of Erie, Jennifer Infantino of Raleigh, N.C. and Jeremy Infantino of Millcreek; two great-grandchildren, Carl Palotas IV and Bella Infantino; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ross, Guy and John Astorino and five sisters, Jeanette Gigliotti, Jessie Giglotti, Marietta Belott, Angeline Infantino and Louise Marshall. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
at St. James R.C. Church.
