Seeking information on my elusive great-grandmother's parents. Here is what I know -
Dora Lattie (or Lattie Dora) Inabinet, born June 07, 1858 and died May 10, 1925 in Gaston, SC. She is buried at First Baptist Church of Gaston, SC.
She was first married to Peter Morgan Mack, who supposedly died in a roofing accident. They had a daughter, Lillie Belle Mack, born October 03, 1888, died October 07, 1954. Lillie first married William U. Jeffcoat and then married Drewey S. Smith. Lillie Mack Smith is buried at Red Bank United Methodist Church, Lexington, SC.
Dora then married my great-grandfather, John I. Chaney, born September 26, 1852 in Woodford, SC and died December 31, 1925 in Swansea, SC. He is buried in a 4-person cemetery beside a cow pasture off of Old Swansea Road near the intersection with Forts Pond Road. Dora and John I. Chaney had a son (my grandfather) Dan Chaney born December 06, 1892.
I can find absolutely NO information on Dora's parents, etc., but feel certain she is from the Orangeburg/Swansea/Gaston/ Pelion area since that is where she lived and there are so many Inabinets in that area. Any information is MUCH appreciated!
