I am researching the descendants of Franz Anton Immekus and am currently looking for information on Goldie Irene Immekus, born about 1917 in Missouri, to William Antone Immekus and Laura Jane Ward.
She is listed in the 1920 census in Meramec, Franklin, Missouri as Gold J, age 3. She is on the 1930 census in Sullivan, Franklin, Missouri as Goldie J, age 13. There is a marriage record for Goldie Irene Immekus on 30 Sep 1954 in St. James, Phelps, Missouri to James Henry Carey. There is a reference to her in her sister-in-law’s, Stella Cross Immekus Merritt, 04 Feb 2003 obituary as Goldie Black of Eureka, Missouri. I have found an internet site that appears to have her as Laura Jane Immekus married to Roy Laxton with a daughter, Junerta Laxton.

Although I am also interested in facts (dates, names, locations, etc.) what I’m really hoping to find are stories. What were the people like? What did they do for fun? Are there family stories that were told over and over again?

Any help would be appreciated.
