Does anyone have a link to Imberts from England. I have a CHARLES ALFRED IMBERT who was born somewhere in England about 1833. Family may have lived in Kansas before travelling to Washington State. Charles' father (name unknown) was also born in England. Would appreciate any leads. Thx.

Bit of a long shot, as your post was over 8 years ago - but I have loads and loads of Imberts (originally from Italy, or so we believe) in my family. The majority born in around the East End of London. CHARLES ALFRED IMBERT could very well be related.

Can't remember if I replied to you or not! I don't know much about my Imberts prior to CA Imbert's time in the USA and Canada. His family was in Illinois, then Kansas, Washington State and then Victoria BC where he died. Some records indicate he was born in London, England but that's all I know. There has been some family information that said they originally pronouced their name as 'Imber or Imbere" (a French pronunciation) and that they came from France. Do you have a family tree on Ancestry that I can look at? Thx. Pamela.
