Toni:
This is Megan Embers (with the unexplained "s") in the kansas line you've referred to. Here's our connection:
Megan Embers -> Robert Eugene Embers -> Robert Gene Embers -> Samuel Metthias Embers -> Abraham Fredrick Embers -> Mettias Imber.
My Grandma, Grace Embers, was the kansas connection you mentioned having written to. She died in 1992, and left a lot of research on the Embers family. I know at one point she had a copy of the manifest for the Dorcas Prince as well; however, I'm not sure where that has ended up. I'd love to see a copy of that again if you still have one. I have her handwritten family tree that includes your great grandfather, in addition to many of the other family lines that have married in over the years in Kansas. I just started entering this information in to an ancestry.com tree today and thus came across your posts. I am curious if you have uncovered anything new or further back than your great grandfather since you last wrote in 2005. Also, I'm curious what research you may have tried to use to get any further back.
I'm going to work on getting my grandma's handwritten notes scanned in as .pdf files that I can send along as well.
Hope to hear from you,
Megan Embers
