My grandmother was from Sayabec, QC, Canada. Her name was Alice Imbeault Phillips. She also had 17 siblings all of which settled in New England and New York. One of her sisters was named Rose, and one of her brothers was Ovila or Ovilla or Ovillia, as was her father. Her mother's name I believe was Malvina Vallee. My grandmother died in 1975 in her 80's, putting her dob in the latter end of the nineteenth century. I know you posted this some time ago, but this is the first time I have visited this site. On the off chance you do not come to this site any longer, I will attempt to email you this message directly. If YOU have any further information you could share with me, pleas email me at dragon3589@hotmail.com Thanks

RoZimbo,

I noted you mentioned you have quite a bit on the Imbeault's. I posted a question regarding a Francois Imbeault born 1737. My great-grandmother was a Marie-Louise Henstridge ne: Ambeau (or Ambeaux) from Hamilton Ontario. I believe her father was Thomas who moved from Quebec to Ontario. I have been trying to piece her ancestry together for a little while.

It is my understand that marie-Louise and Frederick Henstridge separated sometime after 1940, and Marie-Louise may have returned to Canada, or ended up in an institution in Pennsylvania. I have located a SSN death record for her in Pennsylvania, but the family story is about he retruning to Canada. There is no evidence of this.

Thanks

Doug
