I have in my Comer family tree a Nancy J. Iman (born 1849) married to Isaac W. Comer (born 12-29-1848) in June 11, 1866. This was from the Kanawha Co., census of 1860. I don't have any info on her parents except that she was born in VA.

Deborah Shultz,
I have quite a bit of history on the Imans in WV, and am acquainted with your grandfather, Curtis Iman. There will be another Iman reunion Oct 10 in Petersburg, and I intend to be there

You may want to look in Jackson and Hardy Counties of WV. My great grandmother was an Iman (her name was also Nancy) and her family came from Hardy County then went to Kansas for a short period but then came back to WV and settled in Jackson County with other family members.

Good luck. Hope it helps.

>Simeon F. Iman was born about 1898 married a Hazel I. Smith in approx. 1927 in South Bend, WA in Pacific County.>>>>> I have a Simeon Iman who died in WA. He's buried in the Iman Cemetery at Rock Creek, WA near Stevenson. I have his birth date as about 1888 which I think could be wrong. His parents are James Robert Iman born 1 Oct 1873. He married Christina Nelson who was brom Norway. They had 4 children that I know if. "Baby" with no dates, Simeon, Ethel May in about 1894 and Hazel Ray in 1896. All of them, with the exception of the father are buried in the Iman Cemetery. Interesting note is that Christina Nelson also married a man named Albert Odum "Poley" Iman and had two children with him. Albert is James' brother!
