Have you found more?
All these names are familiar, but arranged differently.
I know the name Kivisto, ..but when it was discussed when I was a kid, they spoke half English and half Finn...
The Ikola's that lived in Eveleth that were my Grandmother's brothers were Emil and John.
John had Earl and Willard and Doris.
Emil had Mildred and Roy.
(I hope I have this right).
Doris is a Babaraki and Mildred a Sippola.
Willard was a hockey coach in Edina MN for many many years.
Roy was in Colorado.
My Grandmother married a Niemi, and then a Comeau.
I remember the stories about Muma and Auntie...out in Cherry where there was a farm. My Dad was born in a log cabin out at Cherry.
Too bad I wasn't old enough to ask ''good questions''.
I'm probably being redundant here...but, I've not found much more about ''the Minnesota'' connections to anything prior to immigration that I've mentioned.
Hope all is well
